Belarus has extended visa-free entry for Europeans until 2026
Belarus has extended the visa-free regime for citizens of 38 European states until December 31, 2026. The corresponding decision is formalized by a new presidential decree, which once again shifted the deadlines for the completion of the program, in effect since the summer of 2024.
Under the regime, foreigners can enter the country through international road and rail checkpoints, as well as through airports, having a valid travel document with them. In most cases, the duration of stay is limited to 30 days per trip, while citizens of Poland, Lithuania, and Latvia are allowed to stay up to 90 days. The total time spent in the country should not exceed 90 days within a year.
According to border services, since the launch of the program, Belarus has been visited by more than 1.2 million Europeans, mainly from neighboring countries. At the same time, interest in the e-visa, introduced in 2025 for citizens of 67 countries, is growing: applications are coming from Europe, North America, and Asia. The authorities state that the extension of the visa-free regime and the development of digital visas are aimed at stimulating tourism and simplifying entry for foreign guests.
