Haiti launches iKat digital arrival card for tourists

Haiti has announced the launch of the iKat digital arrival and departure card, which is designed to simplify and speed up border control procedures. This innovation allows travelers to fill in the necessary data online in advance, gradually replacing traditional paper forms.

The system presentation took place in Port-au-Prince with the participation of government representatives, the aviation industry, and the tourism sector. According to official figures, iKat will help reduce the time for formalities at airports, ports, and land borders, and will also increase the accuracy of tracking those entering and leaving the country.

The digital format is expected to simplify the control of stay durations, improve inter-agency information exchange, and become the basis for further modernization of Haiti's migration system. Travelers are advised to fill out the card in advance to avoid delays at the border.
