How to correctly fill out a visa application for Belarus

If you are applying for a visa to Belarus, it is important that all application forms are completely and correctly filled out. Consular sections only accept digital applications, handwritten entries and corrections are not allowed.

In case of deficiencies or lack of data, Belarusian consulates reject the issuance of visas. Considering frequent mistakes, we offer you a step-by-step guide for submitting a visa application to Belarus.

Please enter in fields 1. to 7. first name(s), last name(s), gender, other names, and maiden name (if applicable), date of birth, country and place of birth, state, and citizenship. Do not leave the fields empty. Ensure that entries 1:1 correspond to the data in your passport.

If you have changed your citizenship, be sure to indicate previous nationalities and the date of acquiring new nationality. Late resettlers from the former USSR must provide a registration certificate or an old passport (USSR, Kazakhstan, Russia, etc.) in copy.

Fill in 8. to 13. all the data about your passport completely. The passport number is indicated as such in the passport. The validity of your identity document should be at least 3 months after the end of the trip.

In item 14. your home address is asked. Also fill in all fields here without omissions. The apartment number field is optional. If it is not applicable, just leave it empty. Provide your phone number and a valid email address.

In item 15. the address of your employer is specified. Fill in all fields truthfully. If you do not have an employer, please enter your home address again, as in item 14. The consulate insists on the fields being filled!

Select then (item 15. – 18.) the category and type of visa, as well as the number of entries (single, double, multiple) by marking the appropriate item. Short stays imply visits of up to a maximum of 90 days. Long stays include more than 90 days. Enter in item 19. the expected dates of entry and exit, as well as the duration of stay in days ("number of days").

In item 20. and 21. you need to specify the full name and address of the inviting organization or person in Russia. Enter here the details of your host, as stated in the invitation letter.

Enter in item 22. the address of your accommodation in Belarus. In the case of a private visa, you must specify the name and address of the Belarusian private person where you will be staying overnight. Specify the address, as in item 21.

In item 23. you will be asked about the purposes of your trip. This corresponds to the visa category. Depending on your plans, enter, for example, transit through Russia: tourist, vacation, or business, or make the appropriate entries.

If you have already been to Belarus, please mark 24. yes and then indicate the dates of your last visit. In item 25. list all the visits to Belarus during the current year and the total duration in days. If this does not apply to you, leave the fields empty. Answer questions 26. to 28. honestly.

Indicate in item 29. how you enter, for example, by car or airplane. Describe in 30. briefly your route, for example: Germany – Belarus – Russia or DE Frankfurt a. M. – Minsk – Frankfurt a. M.

Enter in 32. the characteristics of the insurance as indicated in your insurance policy. A policy for overseas medical insurance must be presented with the visa application.

Fill in fields 33. to 39. only if you are married. Otherwise, leave them empty. Under "Other names" in item 36. implies names. Here also applies the rule that all data must be entered as in the passport. Field 40 remains empty. Entries for children in the parents' passports are no longer permitted. Each minor must have their own documents and must apply for a visa.

Finally, enter the date mechanically (43.) and print out the Belarus visa application forms for signature (field 42.).
