Visa requirements for Germans and EU citizens
According to the entry requirements for Belarus, citizens of Germany, the EU, Switzerland, and most other countries must have a valid visa to enter.
For individuals who require a visa, there is an obligation before starting the journey to apply for a paid visa at the diplomatic or consular representation of the Republic of Belarus.
Applicants are allowed to obtain travel permission on their own or to entrust obtaining a visa to an authorized third party. As an accredited visa agency, we are happy to take over the bureaucratic procedures.
Visa-free stay is allowed exclusively for citizens of the following nations: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Cuba (max. 30 days) Macedonia (with a private invitation or tourist voucher), Moldova, Mongolia, Montenegro (max. 30 days, requires a private invitation or tourist voucher), Qatar (max. 30 days), Russia, Serbia (max. 30 days), Tajikistan, Turkey (max. 30 days), Ukraine, Uzbekistan, Venezuela (max. 90 days).
Entry requirements for Belarus: Necessary documents when applying for a visa
- Passport (minimum validity of 90 days on the day of departure from Belarus, at least 2 free pages for a visa stamp)
- completely filled out and signed visa application form
- 1 current, biometric passport photo format 35 x 45 mm (light background, without folds and without inscriptions on the front side)
- additional necessary documents depending on the purpose of the trip and the type of requested visa (for example, an invitation)
- proof of mandatory medical insurance
Permissible documents for identification and entry of children
Each applicant must have their own identification document and own visa. Entries about children in the passports of parents have not been valid since June 2012. Temporary passports and children's passports are permissible, however, an identification document is not permissible. Children under 14 are exempt from the consular fee.
Requirements for medical insurance abroad
As of July 1, 2014, all visa applicants are required to provide a valid insurance policy to meet the entry requirements for Belarus. The minimum insurance coverage is 10,000 euros. Please refer to our recommendations on insurance for foreign trips to Belarus.
Registration obligation in Belarus
