How long is the visa for grave care valid?
The embassy and consulate general of the Republic of Belarus distinguish three different validity periods and three frequencies of entry and exit:
- up to 30 days stay single, double or multiple entries
- up to 90 days stay single, double or multiple entries
- 90 days stay within one year multiple entries
The multi-visa with a one-year validity allows stays to be spread over a period of 365 days. The other visas are valid consecutively. In all cases, the maximum stay of 30 or 90 days must be adhered to.
What are the requirements for the visa application?
To obtain a gravesite visa for visiting a cemetery in Belarus, you need an original certificate from the Belarusian Red Cross or a state association confirming a burial on Belarusian territory. It must also be proven that the grave of a close relative or spouse actually exists or has not been removed. As with all other visa categories, the Belarusian consular sections also require personal documents from the applicant. These include the passport and a passport photo. The intention to visit graves in Belarus must be indicated in the application form as the purpose of the trip.
