Tourist visa for Belarus

If you are planning a vacation in Belarus, it is not enough to organize the journey and accommodation. You need a valid tourist visa to Belarus before departure, as there is a visa requirement for foreign travelers in Belarus. The travel preparations therefore also include a visa application to be addressed to the consular sections of the Belarusian foreign representations in Germany.

Note: You can stay in Belarus for 30 days without a visa. A mandatory condition for foreign tourists is that they cross the state border (arrival / departure) at the National Airport Minsk.

Documents for entry:

• For visa-free entry to Belarus, foreign nationals need a valid passport
• Proof of financial means. A sum of 23 Euros per day of stay is set.
• A valid foreign health insurance - with a minimum coverage amounting to 10 thousand Euros.

Exceptions:
The procedure for visa-free travel through Minsk airport does not apply to individuals who enter Belarus on direct flights from Russia or plan to fly from Minsk to other Russian airports. These domestic flights are mostly conducted without border controls and thus do not fall under the regular entry conditions.

The application at the Belarusian embassy in Berlin or the Consulate General of Belarus in Munich involves several hurdles. You are required to fill out an application form completely and formally correctly. In addition, you need a series of documents. As proof of the purpose of travel, an invitation is required from:

1. a Belarusian travel agency or
2. a health resort/ a sanatorium or
3. an agro-tourism company

Alternative:

Alternatively, EU citizens have the option to present a hotel voucher from their accommodation with stamp and signature. However, the booking duration in this case is limited to a maximum of 10 days. The consular department issues visas only for the duration of the booking. A simple booking confirmation, as issued automatically by booking portals on the internet, is not sufficient. If you are in possession of a tourist visa for Belarus, you are allowed a tourist stay of up to 30 days. You have the option to order a visa for single or double entry. The double visa allows you, for example, to make excursions to the neighboring countries Russia, Poland, Ukraine, Latvia, or Lithuania and then return to Belarus. You can also obtain a visa for Russia from us.
