New opportunities for traveling: Belarus extends visa-free regime for European citizens
The President of Belarus announced the extension of visa-free entry for citizens of 38 European countries until December 31, 2025. This decision allows tourists, including German citizens, to freely visit Belarus without the need to apply for a visa.
According to the new rules, citizens of Poland, Lithuania and Latvia, as well as persons with non-citizen status in Latvia, will be able to stay in the country for up to 90 days from the moment of entry. For citizens of the other 35 European countries, the period of temporary stay is limited to 30 days. It is important to note that the total number of days spent in Belarus without a visa should not exceed 90 days within a calendar year.
Foreign citizens, for whom a visa-free regime is established, can cross the border of Belarus through any international road and railway checkpoints. And exit from the country is allowed through all international road and railroad checkpoints, as well as through all airports of Belarus.
The visa-free regime reflects the country's desire to develop cooperation with European countries and attract tourists, creating a more open environment for international communication and exchange.
