Russia and Saudi Arabia cancel visas
Today, Russian and Saudi diplomats officially signed the long-awaited agreement on the abolition of the visa regime between the countries. As reported by the deputy head of the Russian Hajj mission, Mikhail Rassadin, from the moment the document comes into force, Russians will be able to freely visit Saudi Arabia without a visa, according to the established terms of the bilateral agreement.
Experts note that the new rules significantly simplify trips for pilgrims, tourists, and business people. Now travelers will not have to spend time collecting documents and waiting for permissions, which opens up new opportunities for business cooperation and cultural exchange.
The agreement will come into force after all necessary formalities are completed on both sides. It is expected that the abolition of visas will be an important step in strengthening economic and diplomatic ties between Russia and Saudi Arabia, as well as increasing the attractiveness of Saudi Arabia as a tourist and religious destination for Russian citizens.
