Russia and Jordan have abolished visas: a new stage in relations

Russia and Jordan have signed an agreement to abolish the visa regime, which opens up new prospects for the development of tourism, air travel, and business cooperation between the two countries. The agreement reached by the foreign ministers Sergey Lavrov and Ayman Safadi, creates conditions for simplified border crossings and makes travel more accessible for citizens of both countries.

The abolition of visa barriers is expected to lead to an increase in the number of direct flights and growth in tourist flow. Russian travelers will find it easier to visit famous Jordanian landmarks — Petra, the Dead Sea, the Wadi Rum desert. In turn, residents of Jordan will be able to conveniently discover the cultural and natural riches of Russia — from the architecture of Moscow and St. Petersburg to the unique landscapes of Siberia and the Far East.

The agreement also has important business significance. Simplifying travel will allow companies to establish more active contacts, expand investment opportunities, and accelerate joint projects in areas such as energy, infrastructure, and technology. This decision also emphasizes the desire of both countries to strengthen diplomatic ties and develop mutually beneficial cooperation.
