A new opportunity for business: Oman's Golden Visa program begins on August 31

Oman has announced the launch of the 'Golden Visa' program, which will take effect from August 31, 2025. The initiative is aimed at attracting foreign investors and developing key economic sectors such as real estate, tourism, information technology, and renewable energy.

'Golden Visa' holders will be able to obtain long-term residency for 5 or 10 years with the possibility of extension. The program extends not only to investors but also to their family members: spouses, children up to 25 years old, and dependent parents. Importantly, local sponsorship will no longer be required for living and working in the country, and investors will have full ownership of the business.

Additionally, program participants will be able to enjoy tax benefits, purchase property in free zones, and gain access to modern healthcare and quality education. Thus, Oman is strengthening its image as a stable and attractive destination for long-term capital investment.

The program will become part of extensive reforms supporting the development of national companies and the digitalization of business processes. According to representatives of the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Development of Oman, the goal of the initiative is to create a sustainable business environment and strengthen the country's position as an international investment center within the strategic plan Vision 2040.
