Transit visa for Iran

If you use Iran as a transit country to reach another destination, you need a transit visa regardless of the duration of stay. A stopover in this West Asian country might be considered, for example, if you are heading to one of the neighboring countries. These include, among others, Pakistan, Azerbaijan, and Turkmenistan.

The visa for transit allows you to cross Iran directly on your way to your destination. The entry permit is valid for air travelers as well as visitors arriving by car or other means of land transport at the Iranian border.
