
China expands list of countries with visa-free entry
From June 9, 2025, China will introduce a visa-free regime for up to 30 days for citizens of Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, and Saudi Arabia. This decision is a continuation of previously reached agreements with Qatar and the United Arab Emirates. The representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the PRC, Mao Nin, emphasized that China is pleased to welcome guests from the GCC countries who are visiting the country for tourism purposes.
In addition, from June 1, 2025, a 30-day visa-free regime began to operate for citizens of five Latin American countries: Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Peru, and Uruguay.
Currently, citizens of the following countries can visit China without a visa for up to 30 days:
- Europe: Austria, Belgium, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland.
- Asia: Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Malaysia, Brunei, Qatar, United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Saudi Arabia.
- America: Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Peru, Uruguay, Canada.
- Oceania: Australia, New Zealand.
- Africa: South African Republic.
In addition, the list includes the United Kingdom and Ireland.
China continues its policy of simplifying entry for foreign nationals with the aim of developing tourism and international cooperation.
