The UAE will simplify entry for professionals from June 30, 2025

United Arab Emirates from June 30, 2025, are introducing a new category of guest visas, intended for qualified professionals. This step is aimed at attracting international talents and increasing the flexibility of the national labor market. The visa will allow foreign nationals to stay in the country for up to 120 days for the purpose of performing short-term work assignments or job searching. Sponsorship from an employer is not required for the visa.

The right to obtain the new visa will be granted to candidates who meet one of the following conditions: having a qualification classified by the UAE Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation to skill levels 1–3; having a bachelor’s degree or higher level of education; graduating from a university listed in the top 500 universities in the world within the last two years. Additionally, financial solvency for the period of stay will need to be proven.

Similar measures have already been announced or implemented by countries such as Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain, Oman, Singapore, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, and Germany, reflecting a global trend towards easing entry for qualified professionals to stimulate economic growth and technological development.
