Uzbekistan to open visa-free entry for US citizens
From January 1, 2026, US citizens will be able to visit Uzbekistan without a visa. The corresponding decree of the president of the country was signed at the beginning of November 2025. The new order will allow staying in the territory of the republic for up to 30 days from the date of arrival.
This decision is part of a state program to stimulate tourism and strengthen international ties. The authorities expect that the cancellation of visas will simplify entry, increase interest in cultural and business trips, and attract new investments.
Previously, the visa-free regime was only for American tourists over the age of 55. Now the privilege extends to all US citizens, which marks an important step towards the country's openness and the development of its tourist potential.
Moreover, in 2025, Uzbekistan expanded visa-free entry for the Persian Gulf countries, strengthening diplomatic and economic relations with various regions.
