Indonesia changes entry rules: digital card mandatory from September 2025!

From September 1, 2025, Indonesia introduces a new mandatory measure for all international tourists — the 'All Indonesia' digital arrival card. The innovation will first affect the country's three largest airports: Denpasar in Bali, Jakarta, and Surabaya. Starting from October 1, 2025, the mandatory digital card will be applied at all international airports in Indonesia, including airports in Sumatra, Komodo, Makassar, and Manado.

The 'All Indonesia' digital card combines several previously separate forms — a health declaration (SATUSEHAT), a customs declaration (e-CD), as well as immigration and quarantine documents. Now tourists will be able to arrange all necessary permits online in advance, which is intended to speed up airport control passage and make entry into the country more convenient.

Furthermore, from October 1, 2025, Indonesia will introduce a tourist fee of 150,000 Indonesian rupiah (about 14 US dollars), which can be paid both online and upon arrival. The country's authorities note that the innovations are aimed at simplifying entry procedures for travelers and enhancing overall security at international border crossings.

The first reviews from tourists and experts already indicate that the transition to a digital system promises to make trips to Indonesia more predictable and comfortable, especially in popular tourist destinations like Bali.
