China has extended visa-free travel for citizens of 45 countries until the end of 2026.
The Chinese government has officially extended the unilateral visa-free regime for citizens of 45 countries until December 31, 2026. Initially, the program was supposed to end at the end of this year, but now it will continue for another two years.
The list includes 32 European countries, including France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain, Switzerland, Ireland, and Hungary, as well as six Asian countries — among them Kazakhstan, Japan, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Kuwait, and Bahrain. In addition, the visa-free regime extends to five countries in Central and South America, Australia, and New Zealand.
As announced by the official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China, Sweden has been added to the list. Citizens of this country will be able to enter China without a visa starting from November 10, 2025.
Visa-free entry is granted to holders of ordinary passports for trips for tourism, business meetings, visits to relatives or friends, and transit. The maximum duration of stay in China without a visa is 30 days.
