Kazakhstan launches electronic registration for visa-free travelers.
Kazakhstan has implemented an electronic entry permit (ETA) for citizens of countries with a visa-free regime. The new registration format is implemented through the official mobile application, combining key visa and migration digital services for foreign travelers.
Currently, the system is operating in pilot mode: obtaining an ETA is recommended, but not yet mandatory. After the testing phase is complete, the electronic permit will be gradually introduced as a mandatory requirement for the relevant categories of citizens.
ETA is issued entirely online no later than 72 hours before the trip, is valid for up to 180 days, while the actual duration of stay is regulated by the current migration rules of Kazakhstan.
