Kuwait launches digital multiple-exit permits for foreign workers

The authorities of Kuwait are introducing a new system of multiple exit permits for foreign workers of the private sector. The measure is aimed at simplifying travel and reducing administrative procedures.

According to the government's decision, from July 1, 2026, an exit permit will become mandatory for all foreign workers of the private sector. At the same time, one approved permit will allow multiple exits from and returns to the country within the set term without repeated applications.

The procedure has been fully transferred to digital format. 

The reform was announced in June 2025 and became part of a large-scale digitalization of the labor and migration sectors. Authorities note that the innovation will reduce the burden on employers and provide foreign specialists with greater flexibility during business trips and personal travels abroad.
