Canadian visa centers in Russia have stopped accepting documents
From January 28, Canadian visa centers in Russia have ceased accepting documents for visa processing. This is reported by the official website of the Government of Canada, according to Deutsche Welle. Visa centers remain open, however, passport submission and visa application are now impossible.
The reasons for this decision have not yet been explained by the Canadian authorities. Nevertheless, Russians are advised to apply at visa centers outside the country for entry permits into Canada.
In Russia, visa centers operate in Moscow, Saint Petersburg, Novosibirsk, Rostov-on-Don, and Yekaterinburg. It is still possible to submit biometric data for visas despite the restriction on document acceptance.
