Visa requirements and visa exemption in Vietnam

Until 30.06.2021, nationals of the Federal Republic of Germany and the countries France, Great Britain, Italy, and Spain do not need a Vietnam visa for stays of up to 15 days - regardless of the purpose of their trip. Please note that entry is only possible if your passport has a validity period of at least 6 months upon arrival. In addition, there should be at least 30 days between each visa-free stay. However, this rule does not apply if the last entry was made with a valid visa.

What do I need to consider?

How do I get visas for a longer stay? What are the regulations for single or multiple entries? What visas are available overall? For this and further information on Vietnam's visa regulations, please refer to our overview of entry requirements. Please note that information on entry or visas to Vietnam may change at short notice. For the latest information, please refer to the respective visa type.

For longer stays (more than 15 days) you generally need a visa. Vietnam distinguishes between visas for single and multiple entries and exits. For example, the tourist visa is valid for up to 15, 30, or a maximum of 90 days. With multiple entries, the visa can even be valid for up to one year. You can quickly and conveniently obtain the appropriate visa for your travel destinations through us. If you apply for such a visa through us, we will take care of the contact with the Vietnamese consulates.
