The United States introduces priority visa appointments for fans of the 2026 World Cup.
The US authorities together with FIFA have launched a new priority registration system for visa interviews for foreign fans of the 2026 World Cup. The program is named FIFA PASS and will start operating several months before the tournament begins.
FIFA PASS is intended for viewers who have already purchased tickets for the matches and need a visa to enter the US. Participation in the program is voluntary and allows faster appointment dates at the consulate, however, it does not cancel the standard verification requirements and does not guarantee visa issuance.
To participate, fans need to confirm their agreement through a FIFA account, submit a regular US visa application, and indicate the possession of a tournament ticket when scheduling an interview. If the information matches, the applicant gains access to the priority booking window.
The US Department of State separately emphasized that FIFA PASS does not allow bypassing existing visa or immigration restrictions. Fans from countries with partial or full entry bans can apply, but the decision will be made on an individual basis.
The 2026 World Cup will take place in the USA, Canada, and Mexico and will be the first tournament featuring 48 teams. Most matches, including the final, will be hosted by the United States.
