Kuwait simplifies visa regime: new categories for tourists

Kuwait, August 11 – The country's authorities have introduced an updated system of tourist visas, divided into four categories to make entry into the country more convenient for different groups of travelers.

The first category is intended for citizens of countries with visa-free or simplified visa regime and stable economy. They have access to visas ranging from 30 to 360 days with the option of single or multiple entry. The second category covers residents of the Persian Gulf countries, qualified expats, as well as holders of visas or residence permits of the USA, UK, Schengen, or EU countries.

The third category, which will soon be implemented, is designed for citizens of other countries ready to demonstrate their financial solvency. The fourth – for participants in events in Kuwait with conditions depending on the type of event.

Among the options are single visas for 1, 2, or 3 months with a stay of up to 90 days, as well as multiple visas for 3, 6 months and a year with the possibility of entry for 30 days each month.

The new rules are aimed at simplifying the processing and attracting more tourists by adapting conditions to different travel purposes.
