Kazakhstan expands visa-free regime for citizens of Turkey, Iran and India
The government of Kazakhstan has prepared changes to the rules of entry and stay for foreign citizens. According to the proposed changes, citizens of Turkey will be able to stay in Kazakhstan without a visa for up to 90 days within 180 calendar days, instead of the previous term of 30 days. A similar regime for Kazakhstani citizens in Turkey has been in effect since 2018.
The rules for citizens of Iran and India have also been clarified. They are allowed to stay in Kazakhstan without a visa for up to 14 days per entry, but no more than 42 days in total during a 180-day period.
In addition, the continuation of the existing visa-free entry for up to 30 days for citizens of more than 50 countries, including the USA, Germany, France, Japan, South Korea, UAE, and many others, has been confirmed. However, the total stay should not exceed 90 days within 180 days.
The developer of the project is the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The explanation states that the changes are aimed at strengthening ties with Turkey, developing tourism, investment climate, and economic diplomacy.
After the completion of public discussions, the document will be submitted for government approval.
