India updates immigration control: entry via digital card

According to Indian media, authorities plan to abandon the paper landing form for foreign travelers. Presumably, from October 1, 2025, it will be replaced by a digital arrival card. The exact launch dates have not yet been officially confirmed, but preparatory steps have already been taken.

As of today, foreign tourists upon arrival in India must fill out a paper form, which includes personal data, purpose of the visit, and address of stay. In the future, all this information will be submitted online.
