Armenia and Oman agree on visa-free travel: new entry rules in 2025
On August 14, 2025, it became known that Armenia and Oman officially introduce a visa-free regime. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia announced that the government of Oman has included the citizens of the Republic of Armenia in the list of countries exempt from the need to obtain an entry visa.
Now citizens of Armenia can visit Oman without the need for a visa in advance, which opens up new opportunities for tourism, business trips, and cultural exchange. The duration of stay for tourists and business travelers will be up to 180 days per year.
Oman's decision was a response to Armenia's move, which, from July 1, 2025, canceled visas for citizens of Oman. According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, this mutual agreement is aimed at strengthening ties between the countries and increasing tourist flow.
The agreement was reached following political consultations between the foreign affairs departments of the two states. Recall that on May 22, 2025, Armenia simplified entry for citizens of Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, and Oman.
What this means for tourists:
- Visa-free entry for citizens of Armenia and Oman
- The duration of stay – up to 180 days per year
- Simplification of business and cultural trips
