The Embassy and Consulate of Hong Kong in Germany has the following main tasks:

• Issuing visas, receiving and processing visa applications for German and foreign nationals planning to travel to Hong Kong, and providing information on visa regulations.
• Promotion of trade and economic relations. Strengthening economic relations between Hong Kong and Germany, promoting investment and trade projects.
• Cultural and educational exchange. Organizing events and initiatives to promote cultural and educational exchange.
• Information support, providing current information on Hong Kong's politics, economy, and tourism opportunities.
• Consular support and assistance for Hong Kong citizens living or traveling in Germany, including passport and citizenship matters and assistance in emergencies.

The Embassy plays a key role in maintaining bilateral relations between Hong Kong and Germany in various areas.
