You intend to take up employment in Angola? The contractual matters have already been clarified? For your entry into Angola, you need the work visa. The South West African state distinguishes:

• Employment within the framework of national reconstruction
• Work in the oil and mining sector
• Employment in other sectors.

The Angolan foreign representations, i.e. the embassies and consulates, are responsible for issuing visas. As an applicant, you have the option to submit your documents personally or through an accredited visa agency. Please note that the Angolan embassy requires a personal appearance for applicants applying for a tourist visa for Angola.

Travelers are required to use the visa within 60 days of issue. If no entry to Angola is made within this period, the authorization expires. The maximum permitted duration of stay is 12 months. On-site, the visa can be extended up to twice when certain conditions are met. Angolan representations grant work visas for the temporary exercise of employment.
