Entry requirements for Angola
Valid identification documents for entry
For German citizens, entry to Australia is possible with the (provisional) passport and the child's passport. The travel document must be valid for at least 6 months beyond the date of departure.
Visa requirement for German travelers to Angola
- German citizens require a visa to enter Angola.
- The visa must be applied for before entry.
- Since April 2018, tourist visas can also be applied for electronically.
- Visas are generally issued with a validity period of 60 days, but the permissible length of stay upon entry is limited to 30 days.
- Visas can be extended a maximum of two times for 30 days each by the competent Angolan authorities after entry into Angola.
Customs regulations of Angola
- In Angola, adults residing in the country may import and export foreign exchange up to the value of 10,000 US dollars without declaration (minors up to 3,500 US dollars).
- For individuals not residing in Angola, the limit is set at the equivalent of 5,000 US dollars for adults and 1,500 US dollars for minors.
- Amounts exceeding this limit must be declared upon entry and exit.
- Permission from the National Bank is required for the export of amounts higher than those mentioned.
- The import and export of Kwanza is allowed for all travelers up to a value of 50,000 Kwanza.
- Duty-free allowances include: Spirits: 1 liter, Wine: 2 liters, Perfume: 3 pieces, Cigarettes: 400 pieces.
Medical Prevention
- For entry into Angola, a certificate of vaccination against yellow fever, hepatitis A and B is required.
- As Angola is a yellow fever area, all travelers from the age of 9 months require proof.
- Travelers with less than four weeks of travel time should have complete vaccination protection against poliomyelitis with booster vaccinations every 10 years.
- For travel vaccinations, vaccinations against hepatitis A and polio are recommended, and for long-term stays also against hepatitis B, typhoid, rabies and meningococcal disease.
