Thailand Visa Documents

From all applicants regardless of the visa category to be submitted are:

• fully completed and signed application form
• Original passport (valid for at least 6 months for a single entry, valid for at least 18 months for multiple entries at the time of arrival in Thailand)
• 1 recent color passport photo
• Copy of flight confirmation or flight tickets (round trip or onward flight)
• for children up to 15 years of age, a copy of the birth certificate and copies of the parents' passports must be submitted
• Non-German applicants require a copy of the registration confirmation from the residents' registration office/ of the residence title

Tourists

• for tourist visas for double or triple entry, proof of each entry in the form of tickets or booking confirmations must be provided
• for a one-way ticket, proof of departure must be provided (e.g., bus or train ticket)

Pensioners

• Copy of the pension notice with a monthly amount of at least 1,200 Euros
• if the pension is less than 1,200 Euros, additional proof of assets of at least 5,000 Euros through bank statements of the last 3 months is required.

Pensioner Longstay O-A

• 3 copies of the passport's picture page
• 3 identical passport photos
• 3 copies of the pension notice with a monthly amount of at least 1,500 Euros
• if the pension is less than 1,500 Euros, additional proof of assets of at least 20,000 Euros through bank statements of the past 3 months is required
• Health certificate from the family doctor in original and 2 copies
• Police clearance certificate in original and 2 copies
• Resume in English in original and 2 copies
• Minimum age 50 years

Spouse of Thai citizens

• Copy of the marriage certificate
• Copy of the Thai spouse's passport

Former Thai citizens

• Copy of the birth certificate

Children of Thai nationals

• Copy of the birth certificate
• Copy of the Thai parent's passport

Volunteers

• an official letter addressed to the embassy stating the activity of the applicant, issued by the company or organization in Thailand
• Registration extract of the organization/ company / institute.

Business travelers

• Declaration of assumption of costs by the sending company
• Invitation from the Thai company with the following information: duration and type of activity, list of shareholders, current balance sheet
• Commercial register of the Thai company

Interns

• Invitation letter from the Thai company with details on
• Internship period and type of activity
• Copy of the internship contract
• Commercial register of the Thai company

Students

• official admission confirmation from the Thai school with letterhead/signature/stamp and signature of the principal

Students

• an admission confirmation addressed to the embassy from the Thai university with letterhead/signature/stamp and signature of the dean

Interns

• invitation letter from the Thai company with details on the internship period and type of activity
• Commercial register of the Thai company
• Copy of the intern contract

Film producers

• Filming permit from the Film Board Commission of Thailand

Journalists and reporters

• official approval from the Press Department of the Thai Ministry of Foreign Affairs

Citizens of Afghanistan, Egypt, Algeria, Bangladesh, China, India, Iraq, Iran, Cambodia, Cuba, Lebanon, Libya, Nepal, Nigeria, North Korea, Pakistan, Palestine, Sudan, Syria, Yemen, Sri Lanka, and Vietnam require:

• Application form in quadruplicate
• 4 identical passport photos
• Copy of flight confirmation
• Copy of registration certificate and residence permit for Germany
• Employment certificate from the employer
• Bank statement showing a minimum coverage of 4,000 Euros
• Hotel booking for the entire stay in Thailand
• Possibly a copy of the marriage certificate if married to a German citizen

The processing time for visa applications from Afghan, Iraqi, and North Korean nationals is at least 5 weeks. A possible rejection of visa applications from citizens of the aforementioned countries will not be justified.
