Mongolia has extended visa-free travel for citizens of 34 countries until 2027
The Government of Mongolia has officially extended the visa-free regime for citizens of 34 countries until January 1, 2027. The decision eliminated the uncertainty associated with the possible cancellation of benefits in 2026 and was confirmed by a statement published on December 31, 2025, by the country's diplomatic missions.
Visa-free entry is maintained for tourist trips of up to 30 days with a regular passport. The measure was introduced in 2023 as a temporary one, however, the authorities decided to keep it unchanged, emphasizing Mongolia's interest in developing international tourism and simplifying entry for foreign citizens.
List of countries:
Australia, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, United Kingdom, Hungary, Greece, Denmark, Ireland, Iceland, Spain, Italy, Cyprus, Latvia, Lithuania, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Malta, Monaco, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Finland, France, Croatia, Czech Republic, Switzerland, Sweden, Estonia.
The extension of the regime allows travelers and tour operators to plan trips without additional visa costs and procedures. Entry conditions remain standard: a valid passport, return tickets or an itinerary for further travel, and confirmation of accommodation may be requested at the border.
