Apply for a Myanmar business visa

If you are planning a business trip to Myanmar, also known as Burma, you will need to apply for a business visa. There are two types of visas for business travelers: a consular visa and an electronic business visa. Both allow you to legally visit the country to attend business meetings, conferences or other professional events.

If you are applying for a business visa for Myanmar, you are required to provide proof of the purpose of your business trip.

If you intend to enter Myanmar once , please submit a letter from your sending employer (written in English) or a letter from your business partner in Burma. If you require a multi-visa for multiple entries and exits because you have several business appointments, both documents are required. Please note that your Myanmar business visa is valid from the date of issue. For example, if you apply for the one-time visa 4 months before the planned start of your trip, it will expire before you cross the border. You have 90 days from the date of issue to enter the country.

Please also bear in mind that the processing time at the consulate can take around 15 days, in rare cases up to 3 weeks. Postal services must also be taken into account. Apply for your visa at the earliest 3 months and at the latest 1 month before departure.
