Visa for Azerbaijan – what's the deal with the invitation?

If you are planning a trip to Azerbaijan, you will need an invitation letter from a host, also called a Visa Support Letter, for the visa application. The invitation letters should be addressed to the responsible consulate.

For applicants for tourist visas, the hotel booking confirmation corresponds to the invitation to Azerbaijan. It is important to note that the Azerbaijani embassy only accepts direct bookings from the hotel. Prints from online booking portals are not allowed.
