The Philippines has simplified entry for Indian citizens with visas from developed countries
The Philippine government has announced the introduction of a visa-free regime for Indian citizens who hold valid visas or permanent residence in Australia, Canada, Japan, Singapore, Schengen countries, the United Kingdom, or the USA. The new rules apply to travel for tourism purposes.
Now, Indian citizens can enter the Philippines without a visa through any major international airports, sea ports, and other border points for up to 14 days. If desired, the stay can be extended once for an additional 7 days, allowing a total stay of up to 21 days in the country.
To qualify for visa-free entry, one must have a valid passport (valid for at least six months after the planned stay), a return ticket or a ticket to a third country, and no violations in the database of the Philippine Bureau of Immigration.
The decision was made to stimulate tourism and strengthen business ties between countries. Information provided with reference to data from the Philippine Embassy.
