Cambodia e-Arrival Card: New Entry Procedure for Cambodia from July 2024
From July 2024, Cambodia will introduce a new digital form for entering the country, the Cambodia e-Arrival Card (Cambodia e-Arrival Card)
The Cambodia e-Arrival Card, known as the e-Arrival Card, was introduced on January 1, 2024 as part of a trial program to simplify the entry process for both foreign tourists and nationals. The trial period will run through June 30, 2024, during which travelers can choose between electronic and paper forms to provide immigration, customs and health information.
On July 1, 2024, completion of the e-Arrival Card will become mandatory. The e-Arrival Card system is designed to replace a number of paper documents that were previously required when entering Cambodia.
You can obtain an e-Arrival Card on the government portal or through the official mobile app. To do so, you need to register on the platform, upload a photo, enter personal, passport and travel information, and pay a processing fee. Once the procedure is completed, a QR code will be generated, which must be presented upon arrival in the country. It can be printed or shown electronically. It is possible to apply for an electronic arrival card 7 days before the planned date of entry into Cambodia.
The new system is expected to speed up border crossing procedures at international airports and reduce paperwork. Thanks to the e-Arrival Card, travelers can now complete all necessary immigration and medical declarations in one electronic document.
It is important to remember to apply for an e-Arrival Card even if you already have a visa to Cambodia. The e-Arrival Card does not replace visas or change existing visa requirements. It replaces paper immigration, medical forms and customs declarations, making it easier to enter the country.
