• Validity period: up to 1 year.

 Ordinary (tourist/business/guest) visa (C)

This is the most common and frequently issued category.

• Subcategories by purposes of the visit:  Type C1 - Purpose: Tourism, travel, recreation. Type C2 - Purpose: Business trip, negotiations, visiting exhibitions and conferences. Type C3 - Purpose: Guest visit to relatives or friends. Type C4 - Purpose: Medical trips, participation in cultural events, sports competitions.

Immigration visa (D)

Transit visa (T)

• Intended for transfer and travel through the territory of Georgia to a third country.
• Visit purposes: air transfer and short waiting for the flight; land or sea transit.
• Validity period: typically, consecutive passage within 5 days.
• Stay duration in Georgia: up to 5 days.
• Frequency:  single or double if a return trip is needed.
• Processing time: 1–5 working days.

Visa durations:

• Short-term single visa — up to 30 days.
• Short-term multiple visa — up to 5 years, visiting up to 90 days in a period of 180 days.
• To apply for a multiple visa, it was necessary to have visited Georgia at least once in the previous year.

Note: The visa-free regime applies to holders of diplomatic and official passports of some countries, as well as holders of UN travel documents.
