Entry requirements for Djibouti

For German citizens, entry into Djibouti is possible with a (temporary) passport. The travel document used must be valid for at least 6 months at the time of entry.

German citizens require a visa to enter Djibouti. This cannot be applied for on arrival. There are different types of visas depending on the purpose of the trip. Here you will find all the necessary information and can apply for the appropriate Djibouti Visa.

There is a high risk of malaria in Djibouti throughout the year, but mandatory vaccinations are not required for direct entry from Germany. Vaccinations against Hepatitis A and Poliomyelitis are recommended for travel, and for long-term stays also against Hepatitis B, Typhoid, Rabies, and Meningococcal disease. In addition to malaria, there is also a risk of contracting Dengue fever or Bilharzia.
