Cambodia Introduces Visa-Free Entry for Chinese Tourists
Starting June 15, 2026, Cambodia will launch a pilot program offering visa-free entry to Chinese citizens. This program will be in effect until October 15, 2026, and allows travelers to enter the country multiple times and stay for up to 14 days.
The introduction of this measure aims to increase the number of Chinese tourists during the off-season. Cambodia is counting on the appeal of this new regulation to revitalize the tourism sector and mitigate the economic impact of the pandemic.
Although the visa-free policy offers travelers many conveniences, they must still complete the “Cambodia e-Arrival” form. This digital arrival form is an important step in facilitating entry and ensuring health and safety protocols are followed.
Travelers should be prepared to provide all the necessary information for the e-Arrival form to ensure a smooth entry process. It is advisable to familiarize yourself with the exact requirements and procedures before traveling.
This new regulation could not only boost tourism but also strengthen bilateral relations between Cambodia and China. The government hopes that these streamlined procedures will lead to an increase in visitor numbers.
For Chinese citizens wishing to visit Cambodia, this measure represents a welcome simplification. It is expected that many tourists will take advantage of this opportunity to explore Cambodia’s cultural and natural beauty.
